Validation of previous career
The Degree Programme Boards decide on the validation of credits in cases of transfer from another university, transfer to another course of study or execution of parts of training activities in another Italian or foreign university.
The Board also make decisions on the recognition of the career of students who have already completed their educational qualifications at this University or at another Italian university and who request, at enrolment, the recognition of training credits.
In specific cases, the Regulations of the didactic structures may subordinate the acceptance of a transfer application to a pre-determined admission test. Any credits obtained but not recognized for the achievement of the degree are registered in the academic career of the interested party.
If the student is transferring between degree courses belonging to the same class, the credits relating to the same scientific sector directly recognized to the student cannot be less than 50% of those already acquired.
Enrolment in the years following the first, after the recognition of University Credits, is referred to the didactic regulations of the specific programme; the student who transfers to the Vanvitelli University cannot in turn transfer to another University before an academic year has passed.
On proposal of the competent educational structure, a specific competition notice is issued for transfers to years following the first in programmes with set number, should there be additional seats available.
The knowledge and professional skills acquired and certified in accordance with current legislation on the subject can be recognized in terms of credits, to the extent established by the didactic regulations of the study courses and according to predetermined criteria.
Each Department or School, in consideration of the peculiarity of each study course (first and second cycle degrees), identifies specific criteria on the basis of which to recognize credits to knowledge and professional skills acquired as mentioned above, without prejudice to the restrictions placed on the subject by the current legislation.
The knowledge and professional skills acquired at university level, without being enrolled in a University course, will in no case allow the recognition of University Credits even if belonging to disciplines associated with Scientific Disciplinary Sectors (SSD) present among the basic activities and characterizing the teaching systems of study courses (first and second cycle degrees) of the Vanvitelli University.
