The Vanvitelli University provides a free service of psychological support for students, operated by the University Centre for University Clinical Psychological Services. This service offers a space for listening and understanding the psychological, emotional and relational difficulties that may arise during university studies.
The service provided by the Centre includes, for each student, weekly clinical sessions conducted by expert psychologists and psychotherapists, available both in Italian and English.
Clinical sessions will be primarily conducted in person, in spaces made available by the Department of Psychology, with the option of online consultations by using the same platform that students and professors of our University use for distance learning (Microsoft Teams - Installation Guide, in Italian). The online consultation can be activated upon student request, to accommodate specific individual needs and subject to staff availability.
The Psychological Support Service also carries out research activities on the psychological distress of university students and on the individual, relational and contextual factors of their well-being. For this reason, all students requesting support will be asked – both prior and after consultations - if they are willing to participate in ongoing research.
